Springs tests are charged at £12.00 each plus VAT. There
is an additional charge for removing the spring from a shock
before testing (this will vary with spring / shock type)
All test results are backed up with a printed graph for your
reference.
1. The hydraulic tester is attached to the dyno
2. Spring seats of the correct size are attached to the tester
3. The spring is installed in the test machine
4. The spring is compressed to full compression (or a specific
point)
5. The hydraulic valve is opened allowing the spring to extend
smoothly; the load cell on the dyno records the changing
pressure while an LVDT records the motion.
6. A graph is produced providing full details of the spring's
rate, motion and pressure.
