Nitron make a large range of shocks for
bikes too, including many diverse Japanese twin-shock models and
grey imports. The majority of our bike assembly work is carried
out in Japan where we have our R&D facility for bikes.
Nitron bike
shocks are split into three different variants, NTR Sport
(1-way), NTR Track (2-way) and the NTR Race (3-way). All shocks
feature length adjustment in addition to the damping adjustments
(unless otherwise specified), and a spring pre-load adjuster.
A hydraulic spring pre-load can be fitted as an optional extra.
New in 2009 is a new Nitron NTR Pro shock, this is only available
in the Race model. featuring a 46mm piston and 16mm rod,
this is designed for race use and each shock is individually
tailored to the riders needs.
Nitron’s bike shocks
are all hand built to order and are made of the highest
specification billet aluminium, CNC machined to exacting tolerances. The
result is a very lightweight shock with excellent anti-fade
properties that will not only last a long time but will also
stay looking good. All the shocks share the same valving
components, tubes and rods so all have the same exceptionally
high build and component quality. Here are just some of the
features on all our shocks:
• CNC machined aluminium
construction • Screwed together modular design so can
easily be made to fit other bikes • Hard and Titanium
anodised for excellent life and wear properties • Teflon
lined bearings and bushes to stop any metal on metal friction
• Ultra-low friction seal design
• Length adjustment fitted as standard
• Very light weight
• Easily rebuilt and revalved • 3rd piston shim stack for
very low speed rebound control
